I was thinking, they need to add the option on the app to say whether or not your issue was solved, if you select "no" and state the reason then it would get moved up the chain to someone more qualified instead of them booting you back to the app where you don't know if you'll get an appointment in the first place. Nonetheless, if you believe those other than a GP can fix the problem then that's fine, the monkey wrench in the system is that I don't receive proper care and the result is that I'm once again booted back to their unbelievable appointments process.Įven when I've specifically asked to see a GP and offered to wait for as long as it takes I've been pawned off to one of the other types of clinicians who invariably don't give proper care, meaning they don't solve my issue, which is the whole reason I'm specifically asking for a GP in the first place. They should be honest about who is giving you care because I just assumed that it was GPs since I don't register at a GP surgery to see a nurse or pharmacist about my problems. Apparently there's a number of people who are not doctors being given the issues I raise, they call them "clinicians", and I gather that just means those who work at the clinic. Sometimes I do make it through though, but I'm often not given care by the correct person. How? Well, they only allow you to make appointments on the day! Unbelievable! So, I'm forced to call or use the app between 7-8am or else I'm out of luck, no healthcare access! Reducing the ability to use the NHS should not be the policy of NHS care providers. Tried making an appointment but the receptionist said to use their app, so I try to use the app, and by 830am it was "closed due to high demand", ok shouldn't be a problem right? I'll just call and tell them that the app was closed, they tell me there's no appointments available. I was told by the receptionist to use the Dr I.Q. How on earth are you supposed to get hold of a doctor or at least get an appointment to see someone. I have got in the car on a couple of occasions and gone down to the surgery with my phone still ringing the surgery, once I was able to get an appt for that afternoon the other time there was nothing left. I asked her how am I supposed to get an appt then. Her words `sorry we are very busy and short of staff'. I then asked the receptionist how could that be as there were only 6 people on the line in front of me.

08.10 phone answered only to be told once again, no appts available that day. On phone at 08.00 told I'm 6th in the queue, hoping this would be answered soon. Held on for 10mins and then line goes dead (a couple of times this has happened). Held on for 30mins then told no appts left for that day. Having been told by the Doctors surgery to phone up at 08.00am in the morning to be able to get a doctor's call for that afternoon or the next day, tried this several times - 1. I've not bothered even attempting getting an actual consultation about surgery I need, because the repeat prescriptions are more urgent. So everyone struggling to get through are told to call 8am and there's a backlog of calls for people fighting to get seen to. ('Full' for a 30 second conversation with a doctor regarding a repeat prescription!)Ĭall them up and after being put on hold for ages, apparently the deal is you've got to call at 8am and when I commented I called at 8:30, I was told all the 'appointments' are gone within 15 minutes.

They are full via the app, so try again tomorrow. RE contraceptive repeat prescription, I can't even put in a request via the app. (They promise you they'll get back to you eventually but it seems the app is a way to get you off their backs, so they can ignore it if too busy). I've submitted 5 requests for repeat prescriptions and got blanked. Impossible to get repeat prescription / anything
